North Carolina students adopted digital learning tools to navigate the digital landscape and get the most out of learning. There are too many tools used in schools by students and educators alike. However, managing each of the passwords took time and effort. Lost passwords disrupted classes, and the data was also at risk as it was difficult for the management to secure the students’ sensitive data on so many platforms. 

This is why the NCEdCloud portal was launched. This online portal was created for North Carolina school students, educators, and administrators to help them access educational sources using a single username and password.  The portal allows you to access all of the education sources, including Canvas, Google Classrooms, PowerSchool, Google Workspaces, and Office tools.

How To Login To NCEdCloud? – Step-By-Step Guide:

To log in to NCEdCloud, you must meet the following requirements.

Requirements To Login in NCEdCloud:

  • Username: Provided by your school (often a unique student or staff ID).
  • Password: Either the school provides it to you initially, or you set it yourself.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): This may be required for additional security (e.g., verification via an app or code).
  • Compatible Device: A computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access.
  • Access to NCEdCloud Portal: The official website link your school or district provides.

NCEdCloud Login Process:

When you meet the requirements, you can log in to NCEdCloud in the following ways. In one way, you’ll need the credentials and the UID number.  And in the second one, you’ll need the QR code provided by the school, whether you’re a teacher or a student. Let’s see the both ways:

Sign in to NCEdCloud with Your Credentials:

  • Head over to https://ncedcloud.mcnc.org/, which is the portal’s official website.
  • Choose the NCEdCloud CMS option from there.
  • Now, you’ll be asked to type in your State UID number. It’s the unique identification number assigned by the education system in North Carolina to students and teachers. So, type that in.
  • Click on the GO button that is provided on the page.
  • Then, put your NCEdCloud login password into the text bar and hit the Go button again to sign in.
  • If you’ve entered the correct credentials, you’ll be successfully signed in to NCEdCloud when you press that button.

NcedCloud Login With QR Code:

  • If you haven’t already, get the QR code from the management, and then go to //ncedcloud.mcnc.org/.
  • There, you’ll have options for logging in to the portal. Choose the QR code from there.
  • Now, use your device’s camera to scan the code. The moment the code is scanned, you’ll be signed in.

Access Applications from WakeID Portal

  1. Log into WakeID.
  2. Click Home Base.
  • You will be directed to NCEdCloud log in page.
  1. Enter your State UID or Student UID (PowerSchool
    Number).
  2. Click Go Button
  • Available NCEdCloud Applications will appear. Access Applications from NCEdCloud
  • Visit https://my.ncedcloud.org.
  • Enter your State UID or Student UID (PowerSchool
    Number).
  • Click Go Button
  • You will be directed to WakeID log in page.

Enter WakeID credentials.

  • Available NCEdCloud Applications will appear.

Claiming Your NCEdCloud IAMS Account

  • Enter the NCEdCloud IAMS web address: https://ncedcloud.mcnc.org/ or click the button on the top of the page
  • Click on Claim My Account
  • Click on the dropdown arrow select the Claim Policy that applies and click on next button
  • Enter your Student UID: This is your student number.
  • Enter your Grade Level in the Grade field.
  • Enter your Birth date: Enter the Year first, then the month and date.
  • Enter the LEA number: 410
  • Type the text in the ReCaptcha field
  • Enter a password, then re-enter the password

Next

  • The system will ask you a series of questions to answer
  • Answer the required number of questions

Submit

  • Remember the answers to the questions as the questions will be asked of you if you forget your password.
  • You will then receive a statement letting you know the ‘claim account’ process was successful
